Netox has launched plans to integrate the ServiceNow AI Control Tower across its business functions, as part of its approach to AI governance in Europe. Working with Synechron, the project focuses on establishing governance across Netox’s AI infrastructure.
The AI Control Tower is intended to address the gap between AI adoption and corporate responsibility by providing oversight of AI systems and autonomous agents. This is designed to support security, compliance, and control for enterprise use in complex technology environments.
As a centralised AI governance platform, the Control Tower is designed to integrate with broader Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks, with the aim of supporting ongoing regulatory compliance. This integration aligns with Netox’s stated focus on meeting global regulatory standards.
With increasing adoption of AI systems, organisations in regulated sectors place emphasis on ensuring AI processes are auditable and that systems are designed with safety considerations from the outset.
Investment in Strategic Expertise
Netox has engaged Synechron | ServiceNow to support the deployment of the AI Control Tower across its business, citing their expertise in the area. The partnership highlights the use of external specialist support in implementing AI governance and compliance frameworks.
Synechron’s agentic team will work on developing and deploying governed agentic AI solutions for Netox, with the aim of enabling the rollout of autonomous capabilities. The approach focuses on establishing governance at the beginning of AI development rather than after deployment, as part of maintaining compliance.
The implementation is planned over a three-month period. Both Netox and Synechron intend to align the deployment with developments in agentic AI while establishing governance practices for its use from the outset.
Mikko Pöyry, Vice President, IT Services at Netox, commented:
"Everyone is racing to implement agentic AI, but governing it is just as crucial. Enterprises, particularly those operating in highly regulated markets, need to be able to prove that the agentic AI they're using is safe by design, and maintain robust audit and governance trails to avoid breaching EU regulations. There is a real gap between AI adoption and accountability, and ServiceNow's industry-leading AI Control Tower bridges the divide.
"This is a significant investment for us and marks a new way of working. It creates a powerful and competitive edge both for us and our clients which we're eager to exploit.
"We have contracted Synechron | ServiceNow to support the roll out of the AI Control Tower across our business based on the depth and breadth of their expertise, and their fresh thinking approach."
Tomi Rekonen, Head of Enterprise Architecture at Synechron | ServiceNow, said:
"We are thrilled to be partnering with Netox to pioneer one of the very first go-live projects of ServiceNow AI Control Tower into the Scandinavian market. We specialise in delivering scalable solutions and strategic advisory for regulated environments - and that is precisely the expertise that rapid AI adoption is now demanding. We are looking forward to working with Netox to implement deep operational efficiencies through the use of fully governed AI within its systems, while simultaneously passing these advanced, compliance-first benefits on to its customers."
Alongside the AI Control Tower implementation, Synechron's dedicated agentic practice will aim to design, build, and deploy governed agentic AI solutions for Netox. This gives Netox the ability to bring autonomous AI capabilities to market rapidly, with governance built in at the point of creation rather than retrofitted after deployment.
Rhys Jones, Managing Director Agentic Solutions at Synechron, added:
"Synechron's agentic team specialises in closing the gap between what agentic AI can do and what organisations can confidently deploy. Working with Netox gives us a compelling opportunity to do exactly that - building autonomous capabilities that are governed from day one, not governed as an afterthought. The combination of AI Control Tower and our agentic practice means Netox won't just be keeping pace with agentic AI; they'll be setting the standard for how it should be done."
