Pure Data Centres embarks on new Madrid project

Pure Data Centres, provider of hyperscale data centre solutions, is beginning construction of a 25MW campus in Madrid, Spain, demonstrating its commitment to meeting the growing global demand for digital infrastructure.

This comes after Pure DC recently reached full operating capacity at its north London campus. The completion of Data Halls 3 and 4 in Brent Cross, London, marks the company's first fully available customer-occupied data centre, with a capacity of 20MW.

Work has already begun on an adjacent site, which will take the overall capacity at the London campus to over 80MW, with scope to extend even further.

Pure’s next campus due to transition into live operations is located in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, which will provide 45MW of capability. It is due to complete its first phase in early 2025 and will be Pure DC’s first venture in the Middle East.

Pure DC has to date achieved 100% availability for all of its hyperscale customers, not only in London, but also in its live sites in Jakarta and Dublin.
