The Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) Caltech has standardised on Nexsan’s E-Series and BEAST solutions to store more than 6.4 PB of research data to discover the gravitational waves of the merger of two black holes. The LIGO research project confirms a major prediction of Albert Einstein’s 1915 general theory of relativity.
