SAP appoints Augusta Spinelli as Regional President for EMEA

SAP SE names Augusta Spinelli as Regional President for EMEA, set to lead digital transformation efforts and strengthen partnerships across 89 countries in the region.

SAP SE recently announced the appointment of Augusta Spinelli as Regional President for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Effective immediately, Spinelli will spearhead SAP's operations across 89 countries, excluding the 26 countries of SAP Middle & Eastern Europe (MEE), which include Germany, Switzerland, and Central and Eastern Europe.

Spinelli's new role places her at the forefront of SAP's strategies in the EMEA region, a crucial market for the company's global expansion plans. Her responsibilities include fostering business growth and embracing innovation alongside SAP's robust product engineering and partner ecosystem.

With over 30 years of experience, Spinelli is poised to leverage her extensive industry knowledge to help customers accelerate their digital transformation. Her journey at SAP began in 2001 as a production planning consultant, and she has since held various leadership positions, showcasing her expertise across sales and delivery.

Spinelli succeeds Manos Raptopoulos, who has moved to SAP’s Extended Board as Chief Revenue Officer APAC, EMEA & MEE. This leadership transition highlights SAP's commitment to nurturing talent from within and ensuring seamless business continuity.

During her tenure as EVP and Global Head of SAP’s Adoption Services Center, Spinelli played a pivotal role in advocating large-scale adoption of SAP solutions. Her forward-thinking approach and deep familiarity with EMEA markets make her a strategic choice to enhance SAP's relationship-driven business model.

Additionally, Spinelli holds a master's degree in Industrial Technology and Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and is based in Dubai, UAE. She expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, highlighting her commitment to driving SAP's AI-first, Suite-first strategy in alignment with the company's culture of high performance and mutual trust.
