Keepit, a dedicated cloud backup provider for SaaS applications, has announced the opening of its new UK headquarters in London’s financial district, marking a significant step in its commitment to the UK market. The move is spearheaded by industry veteran Jerry Mumford, who takes on the role of VP for the UK, Ireland, and MEA, indicating a strategic expansion of Keepit’s operations and service offerings within the UK.

Founded in 2007 with a focus on SaaS data protection, Keepit positions itself as the only vendor-independent cloud service in its niche. The establishment of a UK base follows a $40 million refinancing agreement with HSBC Innovation Banking and the introduction of the Keepit Partner Network, reflecting a shift towards a partner-first strategy.

Over the last three years, Keepit has recorded a consistent 100% year-on-year growth within the UK, a trend it aims to continue in 2024. The new office underlines the company’s intent to increase its market share and improve support for its UK clientele.

Jerry Mumford discussed the significance of this expansion, stating, "Establishing a stronger base in the UK is an important step for Keepit: an opportunity to build on the foundations we already have here, and grow our partner ecosystem and customer base." He highlighted the UK market's robust IT infrastructure and high technology adoption rates, alongside the risks posed by cyber threats and data loss.

With headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark, and offices in the US and Germany, Keepit's UK operations are already serving clients such as The National Gallery and Oxford University Innovation Ltd. The Keepit Platform offers a comprehensive data protection suite for major SaaS applications, featuring data independence, sovereignty, instant recovery, and high-security standards, backed by ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and ISAE 3402-II certifications.

Notably, Keepit is committed to environmental sustainability, with all its data centres in the Americas and EMEA powered by 100% renewable energy. This initiative places Keepit ahead in the green computing space, offering clients an environmentally friendly option for cloud-based data backup.

The National Gallery, a Keepit client, has praised the platform for its affordability, simplicity, and quick setup. James Mitchell, the Gallery's infrastructure manager, remarked, "during our tender process, it was evident that Keepit offered the best price point and simplest solution – accessing your backup is fast and easy, just the way it should be."

Keepit's establishment of a UK headquarters is a clear signal of its growth ambitions and dedication to serving the UK market with secure, sustainable, and efficient data protection solutions.
