Advania has expanded its capabilities through the acquisition of Evolv Robotics, an Icelandic company specialising in business automation. The acquisition brings a team of around 30 automation engineers into Advania and establishes its first dedicated automation delivery unit in Iceland. By integrating Evolv, Advania aims to strengthen its end-to-end AI and automation service offering.
Evolv focuses on automating complex business processes across multiple industries. The company works with more than 100 clients in Iceland, delivering solutions in live operational environments that support functions such as financial processing and customer service workflows. Its team has experience in automation engineering and in deploying scalable and reliable systems.
The business automation sector is increasingly moving toward AI-based systems capable of processing unstructured data, adapting to changing conditions, and improving through operational feedback. This development is also associated with increased attention to data sovereignty and the secure deployment of AI systems, particularly where sensitive business data is involved.
Advania has developed sovereign AI cloud capabilities intended to provide secure and compliant access to AI services, allowing organisations to retain control over their data. The addition of Evolv’s automation expertise is intended to support the practical application of these capabilities within operational environments.
Following the integration, Evolv will operate as an independent delivery unit within Iceland, maintaining its existing client relationships while contributing its automation capabilities to Advania’s broader AI and automation services.
This transaction represents Advania’s first acquisition in Iceland in more than ten years. The deal has been approved by the Icelandic Competition Authority, confirming regulatory clearance.
