Barracuda Networks announces cybersecurity advancements to enhance partner success

Barracuda Networks has announced upgrades to its cybersecurity solutions and partner programs, aiming to strengthen resilience across email, network access, and generative AI.

Barracuda Networks has announced updates to the BarracudaONE platform and its Partner Success Programme. The changes are intended to support cyber resilience across email, network access and generative AI usage, and to provide partners with additional tools, incentives and programme features.

The updates include changes focused on cyber resilience across different attack surfaces. Barracuda Email Protection has been extended for organisations using Google Workspace. The service is designed to address phishing, account takeover and related threats, and to provide consistent email security across Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments.

Barracuda SecureEdge Access introduces a cloud-delivered secure service edge offering. It combines secure internet access, zero trust application access, firewall-as-a-service capabilities, and visibility and policy controls for generative AI usage. The aim is to support security across distributed environments while reducing complexity and the number of separate tools required.

Barracuda AI Security has also been introduced within BarracudaONE. This feature provides visibility into generative AI usage, including shadow AI activity, along with risk scoring and policy enforcement controls to manage non-compliant use. It includes centralised, multi-tenant dashboards intended to support AI governance.

Barracuda has also updated its Partner Success Programme to align with current partner operating models. The programme now brings managed service providers and resellers into a single framework designed to support different routes to market.

The revised structure includes a set of baseline benefits available to all partners, along with additional “boost benefits” based on partner engagement models. A revised rebate structure has been introduced, along with updates to certification pathways and the addition of the Barracuda Mastery Programme, which focuses on technical training and service development. The company also plans to introduce Partner Success teams and expanded support plans.

An updated partner portal has been introduced with AI-enabled features, including onboarding tools, deal registration, dashboards, and learning resources. The platform is designed to provide visibility into programme participation and access to marketing and enablement materials. Additional AI-based marketing automation features are currently in development.
