LiquidStack, a leader in liquid cooling for data centres, recently reinforced its leadership team to cater to burgeoning demands in powering next-generation AI workloads. The company aims to drive its  liquid cooling technology forward amid growing industry needs.

Ersson Zapata has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer. Bringing in expertise from his previous role as COO at CSMi Solutions, where he notably boosted the company's bottom line, Zapata will now helm LiquidStack’s global operations and supply chain. "LiquidStack is at a pivotal moment in its journey, as the scale-up of AI accelerates demand for high-performance liquid cooling globally," Zapata remarked.

Joining Zapata is Mike Tapp, now serving as the Chief Financial Officer. With a rich background in financial leadership at Monfort Companies and experience with data centre and technology firms, Tapp is poised to enhance LiquidStack's financial strategies for its next wave of global expansion.

Meanwhile, the role of Chief Innovation Officer has been conferred upon Ed King, who ascends from his position as Senior Vice President of Operations. King's efforts have been pivotal in advancing LiquidStack's supply chain and expanding its U.S. manufacturing capabilities. He is now tasked with evolving the next-generation liquid cooling solutions, addressing heightened demands for advanced computing and novel thermal management applications.

CEO Joe Capes shared, "Ersson's operational leadership, Mike's financial expertise, and Ed's visionary approach to innovation, builds on a world-class leadership team that positions us to support the massive AI infrastructure investments happening globally."

These appointments coincide with a phase of record growth for LiquidStack. Notably, the company has debuted the GigaModular™ CDU, a revolutionary scalable coolant distribution unit with a formidable 10MW cooling capacity. Complementing this innovation is their newly inaugurated U.S. manufacturing facility in Carrollton, Texas, aimed at meeting a surge in demand.
