BCS appoints CDO

Business Critical Solutions (BCS), the specialist services provider to the international digital infrastructure industry, has appointed a Group Chief Development Officer with a broad global remit and responsibility for the continuing strategic development of the business.

Alexandra Thorer returns to BCS to take up the newly created role, joining from Stack Infrastructure where she was Vice President Strategy & Development EMEA, having gained valuable client-side experience, delivering site acquisition and early-stage development projects. Alexandra was previously General Manager, Germany at BCS, successfully driving expansion in the region.

In her new role, Alexandra will support the company’s commitment to an ‘International vision with local capabilities’, expanding its markets and growing and strengthening its services whilst ensuring that client relationships remain its foundation.

Alexandra said: "BCS has experienced significant growth to date for a reason – its culture, expertise and commitment to delivering for its clients. It is vital that we maintain these values and this approach as our journey continues as a business that focusses on building client relationships rather than selling services.

“The data centre industry is the invisible backbone for the ever-increasing digital world we live in, and the opportunities for BCS and its clients are incredibly exciting. I'm returning to a team and culture that have always felt like home and it’s a privilege to be stepping back into a place that continues to inspire and challenge me professionally."

James Hart, CEO at BCS, said: “Alex is absolutely the right person to be supporting the team and our clients and overseeing this next phase of our development. She understands the importance of putting client relationships at the heart of everything we do, and her skills fully complement those of the strong senior team she is joining.”
