Portus Data Centers appoints Jörgen Venot

Director of International Sales will drive future growth.

Portus Data Centers has appointed Jörgen Venot as Director of International Sales. He is a seasoned international C-Level executive and entrepreneur with extensive management experience and a proven track record in delivering major colocation, HPC and data center sales.

Jörgen has been active in the data center industry for over 15 years having joined pan-European data center colocation operator Etix Everywhere in 2015 where he subsequently became Senior Vice President of Sales and then CEO of Northern Europe. Most recently, he was Principle of Data Center Partners, a Munich-based investment boutique focused on colocation and hyperscale data centers in strategic locations across the DACH region.

Previously he was Chief Sales Officer at Data Castle - a sustainable data center platform provider based in Germany - having joined the company in 2023 from digital infrastructure services specialists The Data Center Group where he was Head of Sales & Marketing. While there he had also served as International Sales Director of DC Products GmbH, the company’s edge IT security products subsidiary.

“I believe my deep knowledge of the international data center industry from strategic business development to operations, investment, design, planning and construction will be invaluable in my new role,” said Jörgen Venot. “I am very much looking forward to ensuring we accelerate and maximise existing and new international client business opportunities in the DACH region as well as in other strategic European edge markets in the future.”

Adriaan Oosthoek, Chairman, Portus Data Centers, said: “We are very excited to have Jörgen join us. He is highly experienced and well known and regarded in our industry and will be instrumental in helping Portus successfully deliver on our long-term growth strategy, driving significant sales revenues from strategic international clients in our current and future edge colocation markets.”

Fluent in French, English and German, Jörgen is an iMasons Infrastructure Member. Prior to entering the data center business, he had a successful career in various IT businesses including Ancestry.com and 15 years in the business stationery manufacturing industry, at Tompla and Curtis 1000 Europe AG (Taylor Corporation).
