In response to growing customer demand, global Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) hosting platform servers.com is opening of a new data center in Miami, and expanding operations in Amsterdam, San Jose, Washington, Dallas and Singapore.
Serving five key industries that are highly latency-sensitive - gaming, iGaming, streaming, adtech and fintech - the new Miami location comes in response to customers wanting greater bare metal server options in closer proximity to their operations.
As these key industries continue to experience rapid growth, the need for bare metal hosting in different locations across the globe is greater than ever. The fintech space relies on infrastructure being close to major financial markets, and successful gaming and streaming companies require consistent low-latency to deliver lag-free experiences.
servers.com's new Miami site is a strategic new offering for customers wanting Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings for the South American market. With high hardware costs in Brazil limiting infrastructure access for many businesses, the Miami data center enables businesses to tap into premium customer-first IaaS capabilities from servers.com at an accessible entry point.
“New locations are always about getting closer to something - whether that’s getting closer to users to reduce latency in gaming or getting closer to a specific platform. Miami is a really hot connectivity site down to Brazil and São Paulo in particular, and having a data center presence in Miami means we can serve the South American market without having to transfer that premium to our customers,” shares Isaac Douglas, Chief Revenue Officer, servers.com.
“We’re primarily customer driven in terms of opening new data centers. If customers want us to be somewhere, that’s where we go. And we can do it quickly because we always keep a supply of pre-stocked networking equipment which can be shipped and launched rapidly,” comments Ilya Sokolov, EVP of Product and Engineering, servers.com. “We’re always interested in growing our data center locations in response to customer requirements, and look forward to discussing potential new sites with them.”
The expansion of servers.com’s additional sites fill customer latency gaps, enable customers to expand their operations in important locations and, in the case of the additional San Jose data center, offer improved redundancy for even greater reliability and efficiency.
“Six new or expanded data center locations this year alone shows just how fast we’re growing as a business. Further expansion is on the cards but where and when in 2025 is still to be determined. It depends where our customers want to be and the opportunities lie. The great thing is that we have the flexibility to go where we are needed,” says Isaac Douglas.
