Green Mountain continues expansion of its data centre in Oslo region

For the second time this year, Green Mountain starts new construction work at its data center facility in Enebakk outside Oslo. A new 10 MW data center will be completed by September 2024. Almost half of the capacity is already dedicated to a new international customer.

Green Mountain has been granted approval to build a 3-storey building of 9,600 sqm. Construction work will start as soon as the start-up permit is finalized and expected completion is estimated for September 2024.

Upon completion, the entire facility at Enebakk will have a total capacity of 41.5 MW. This includes both dedicated buildings for individual clients as well as multi-tenant colocation buildings. An international technology company has already reserved close to 5MW of the capacity in the new data center.

"We are currently experiencing great demand for our services and I am pleased to see that more and more international customers are looking to Norway and the Nordics for their data center needs." says Svein Atle Hagaseth, CEO of Green Mountain.

The customer's name has not been made public, but it is a new client in Green Mountain’s portfolio. "They provide services that most Norwegians are familiar with and depend on for both work and leisure." Hagaseth adds.

The expansion in Enebakk will also bring new jobs and positive ripple effects in the local community.
