Johnson Controls acquires Xcell Misting

Johnson Controls has acquired Xcell Misting Ltd, an expert fire protection company that designs and installs innovative fire suppression and detection systems. Xcell Misting Ltd specialises in innovative water mist technologies.

Johnson Controls’ customers will benefit from Xcell’s wealth of experience within fire protection and security, with access to the latest fire suppression technologies. Serving diverse sectors including food, technology and data centres, high-hazard and gas turbines, car plants, residential and waste management, Xcell shares its bespoke approach with Johnson Controls, enabling specific requirements to be met to the highest standards.

Low water, high impact

Headquartered in Norfolk, UK, Xcell’s expert team of fire professionals, engineers, installers and managers design and deploy fire protection systems across the UK, providing support 24/7. 

As experts in high, medium and low-pressure water misting, Xcell is one of only two companies in the UK authorised to supply, install, commission and service industry-leading FOGTEC High-Pressure Water Mist Systems. These innovative fire suppression systems deliver superior performance in comparison to traditional sprinkler systems, with significantly lower water usage, using tiny, cooling droplets compared to high water-usage systems.
