SoftwareONE acquires controlling stake in SynchroNet

SoftwareONE Holding AG, a leading global provider of end-to-end software and cloud technology solutions, has acquired a controlling shareholding in SynchroNet, an AWS-focused cloud specialist in digital workplace solutions. The acquisition expands SoftwareONE’s capabilities in the fast-growing market of cloud-based services for remote working and complements its global AWS services portfolio.

SynchroNet is a recognized global leader of AWS (Amazon Web Services) digital workplace solutions for large enterprises and public sector organizations. Its range of offerings includes professional services, managed services and SaaS solutions for Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) and virtual desktop solutions such as Amazon WorkSpaces and Amazon AppStream 2.0. With deep domain expertise in the AWS ecosystem, the company has helped customers enable secure remote working and collaboration for hundreds of thousands of employees and contractors. SynchroNet is an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner since 2018.

Ashley Gaare, President of SoftwareONE North America, said “We are excited to welcome SynchroNet and its great team of cloud technology and AWS experts to the SoftwareONE family. With their established position as a provider of digital workplace solutions on AWS, they will add strong capabilities to address the growing market for cloud-based remote work and further strengthen SoftwareONE’s market position in the US in particular.”

Javid Khan, AWS Global Director of SoftwareONE, said “This acquisition complements our existing AWS services portfolio with our core focus in helping customers migrate and modernize their applications and mission-critical workloads on AWS. By extending our reach to end user computing, we can provide an overall end-to-end digital transformation on AWS.”

“The combination of highly attractive market conditions and cultural alignment has created a unique opportunity for SoftwareONE and SynchroNet to join forces,” added Darin Cook, CEO of SynchroNet. “By bringing our digital workplace solutions and expertise in AWS to SoftwareONE's existing capabilities, we can leverage our combined expertise to deliver cloud-first workspaces, addressing customers’ distributed workforce and security needs on any device.
