MHR secures privileged access for company and clients

Thycotic says that talent management, HR payroll and people analytics solutions company MHR, has selected its Secret Server solution to manage and maintain access to its privileged accounts and associated passwords. MHR is also using Thycotic’s Secret Server to protect customers using its solutions as part of a hosted service.

“We had created our own password vault which allowed us to secure passwords in a better way than we had done previously,” said Ian Price, IT Director at MHR. “Now, due to increasing assurance and regulation requirements, along with the development of in-house automation tools, we needed a more effective market-leading solution to fit our needs and complement the technologies we are already using, and that’s where Thycotic came in to help.”

“We compared three solutions and chose Thycotic because of the security and granularity of access control it offered,” continued Price. “We’re committed to making sure all the data we hold is secured, assured and reportable. Thycotic also complements our existing product portfolio and can interact with our automation tools, removing any chance of human error in password and privileged account protection.”

Thycotic Secret Server is designed to safeguard privileged accounts, both on-premise and in the cloud. It ensures privileged secrets are stored, managed and governed in a military-grade vault, where all access and activity is monitored to eliminate risks from unauthorised access. Secret Server allows enterprises and SMEs to manage, share and automatically exchange privileged enterprise secrets (credentials and passwords), which eliminates the need for users to maintain passwords in Word or Excel documents.

“We’re delighted MHR has chosen Thycotic to secure its privileged accounts and passwords,” said Simon Azzopardi, Vice President of EMEA at Thycotic. “Establishing access control is a growing priority for all organisations as hackers continue to target these privileged accounts to get a foothold within the network. Having now conducted a successful POC, we’re looking forward to working together with MHR in rolling out Secret Server across the company.”
