Russell Roof Tiles builds in the Cloud with Infor

Russell Roof Tiles, the UK’s third largest concrete tile manufacturer by volume, has selected Infor CloudSuite Industrial.  As part of a modernization program, the deployment is anticipated to boost customer service and reduce lead times and reduce manual processes and administration. Russell plans to go live in 2018 across three sites in Burton on Trent and Lochmaben.

Russell Roof Tiles’ complex business model includes sourcing a range of raw materials for a diverse customer base including local authorities, housing associations, private housebuilders and commercial firms requiring accurate, timely information on projects.  Through its deployment of Infor CloudSuite Industrial, Russell Roof Tiles’ customers will have access to their orders and account information, including CAD drawings, remotely at the touch of a button, 24/7.  The deployment will also automate the majority of Russell’s long range production planning to help manage lead times more effectively and facilitate more efficient, improved customer service.

In addition, the maintenance management capabilities within Infor CloudSuite Industrial will automate and streamline the purchasing of parts to boost efficiencies and reduce downtime on the shop floor.

Russell Roof Tiles originally selected Infor SyteLine over SAP, Epicor and Microsoft Dynamics as an early adopter of Cloud and is upgrading to Infor CloudSuite Industrial because it was both scalable and user friendly, making it a strong fit for a rapidly growing business.  New capabilities within Infor CloudSuite Industrial, including Customer Portals, Business Intelligence, Advanced Production and Plant Maintenance were also key to the decision.

“Technology is increasingly important in ensuring that our business continues to meet the needs of our market, and moving to Infor CloudSuite Industrial is a key part of our strategy to modernize and enhance our service,” comments Araminta Chesters, Finance Director, Russell Roof Tiles. “Adopting a Cloud model reduces our technology footprint, and will make for a smoother transition when our US operations migrate to the same platform in H2 2018, while our customer self-service portal will ensure customers are only a click away from the information they need on any given project.”

“The building sector has had a turbulent decade which for the most part, has seen a return to growth over the last few years,” comments Phil Lewis, VP for Global Solution Consulting, Infor.  “Technology has become a key means of getting closer to customers and delivering to their demands, and through its deployment of Infor CloudSuite Industrial, Russell Roof Tiles is able to improve customer service.”
