IT Glue launches EU data centre

IT Glue, the documentation platform, has launched a new EU Cloud. IT Glue’s EMEA partners now have the option of hosting their data at the company’s new German-based data centre.

Hosted by Amazon Web Service (AWS) in Frankfurt-am-Main, IT Glue’s new EU Cloud will allow its partners to choose from either a US or EU Cloud for data hosting. In addition, the company’s failover data centre in Ireland will continue to provide added security for its European partners. This highly anticipated announcement means that EU and UK-based MSPs can now enjoy data sovereignty with their data stored in IT Glue without ever leaving European boundaries. This will allow EU-based providers to meet GDPR provisions prior to their coming into effect in May 2018.

According to IT Glue’s CEO, Chris Day, “Having EU Cloud storage for our European partners further strengthens IT Glue’s footprint as a global leader in the documentation market”. Day adds, “We put a lot of energy into bringing our EU Cloud to life with the highest level of security standards and I am thrilled to finally be offering it to our European partner base.”

IT Glue’s Managing Director, EMEA, Phil Sansom, sees the EU Cloud as an essential component to the company’s Europe expansion plans. “The EU Cloud is great news for our European MSP partners”, says Sanson. “Along with our rapidly expanding EMEA team, based in Reading, UK, the launch of our EU Cloud is a testament to our commitment to the success of our European partners.”
