Wavex delivers remote-working IT solution to Crimson & Co

Wavex Technology, the IT services provider with a strong focus on user safety and business cyber security, has completed work on implementing a tailor-made remote-working IT solution for Crimson & Co, the global management consultancy that specialises in the supply chain. Following a swift implementation, the new technology will allow its employees to achieve maximum efficiency while working remotely.

The project involved refreshing an existing IT solution that Wavex had previously put in place for Crimson & Co, in order to provide staff with better remote-working capabilities. During a Crimson & Co team-building day in London, Wavex managed the re-imaging of each consultant’s laptop, installation of Office 365 and testing of the newly-implemented solution on every machine before returning it to the rightful owners in a five-hour time period. This minimised operational disruption while ensuring optimal productivity moving forward.
“Many of Crimson & Co’s employees require remote working capabilities, which meant that we had to address the challenge of having limited, centralised access to employees’ workstations,” says Gavin Russell, CEO, Wavex. “Because of this we then had to determine the most efficient way to implement the new solution without disrupting the working schedules of each employee. This window of opportunity came through one of the company’s regular team-building days, which meant we could gain access to the laptops and upgrade machines accordingly with minimal disruption, all within an incredibly short space of time.
“Crimson & Co really appreciated how flexible and agile we were able to be in meeting its goals, and the new system has allowed the company to work more effectively to the benefit of its customers.”
Following the success of this project, Crimson & Co also signed a three-year contract extension with Wavex, which will see it continue to deliver IT support services to Crimson and Co’s employees across the UK.
Jon Gibson, Associate Director, Crimson & Co, says: “Due to the nature of how we work it is absolutely vital that our employees have access to a fast, reliable and collaborative IT system, and Wavex has been able to deliver exactly that in an incredibly short timeframe. By using the latest technologies that are relevant to our business model, we are future-proofed for many years to come. The difference it has made already to overall productivity has been considerable.”
