Accenture awarded SEC blanket purchase agreement

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has awarded Accenture Federal Services a five-year blanket purchase agreement to establish a one-stop shop for SEC capabilities on the ServiceNow cloud computing platform.

Under the contract, Accenture will establish, develop and maintain a service delivery and support structure for the SEC that provides end-to-end enterprise automation services using the ServiceNow platform – a cloud-based workflow and automation system. Accenture is one of ServiceNow’s largest global partners and has been named the ServiceNow U.S. Federal Systems Integrator of the Year three times in the last five years. Accenture has teamed with Bravium Consulting to deliver ServiceNow at the SEC.

Through Accenture, the SEC will have access to business domain specialists and extensive experience implementing business process re-engineering and customer relationship management specific to ServiceNow solutions. Accenture will provide governance across the lifecycle of each service initiative – from evaluating projects to providing guidelines, standards and best practices for application design and implementation. When implemented, the new services are expected to provide the SEC with significant improvements in areas such as organizational effectiveness, cost savings and service quality.

“We will provide a consistent, enterprise-level strategy for the deployment of ServiceNow solutions that will be tightly coupled across the SEC’s divisions and offices,” said
Elaine Beeman, who leads Accenture’s work with federal civilian agencies. “With the new ServiceNow Solution Center, the ServiceNow platform will enable rapid, agile deployments of functionality that drive efficiencies and work cohesively across the SEC.”

The SEC is currently using ServiceNow to manage its infrastructure operations in support of its mission to protect investors and oversee the U.S. financial securities markets, including securities exchanges, securities brokers and dealers, investment advisors and mutual funds.
