Hand tools reduce impact shock by more than 40%

Panduit has launched two new cable tie hand tools – the GTS-E for subminiature (3.629 kg) to standard (22.680 kg) cross section cable ties and the GTH-E for standard (22.680 kg) to heavy (79.379 kg) cross section cable ties. These tools offer a handle force that is 15% lower than comparable industry tools, increasing productivity and enhancing worker safety.

The ergonomic design for comfort and grip reduces risk of operator fatigue during repetitive tool use, and repetitive motion injuries to hands during cable tie cut off. The improved cable tie cut-off mechanism also reduces impact shock to an installer’s hand by more than 40%.

“Panduit works closely with customers and partners to ensure that our tools increase productivity and are safe and comfortable to use,” said Frederic Kalb, OEM Business Development Manager. “Regardless of the application sector – aerospace, rail, contract manufacturing, harness making – we believe that the GTS-E and GTH-E cable tie hand tools increase efficiency and improve the user experience.”

Additional new features include:

·         Single, easy-to-read, tension adjustment knob in 12.7mm increments speeds adjustments and improves accuracy of tension settings with a simple pull and twist motion

·         Beveled tie entry allows quick side entry of tie into tool to speed installation

·         Long and narrow barrel nose design improves visibility and access to confined areas

·         Lightweight, durable design helps preserve consistent performance over time, reducing maintenance and replacement costs over years of use
