VMTurbo introduces support for PaaS

VMTurbo has announced support of Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) through integration with Cloud Foundry in its latest release, VMTurbo 5.4. This release expands VMTurbo's ecosystem, addressing the challenge of controlling any workload on any infrastructure at any time by extending support and control for Cloud Foundry, EMC XtremIO and EMC VMAX, as well as the ability to fully leverage VMware's Cross vCenter live migration capabilities.

"Enterprises are increasingly focused on their hybrid cloud strategy. With release 5.4, VMTurbo expands its real-time application performance control platform beyond traditional on premises and even IAAS vendors to now include the PAAS solutions based on Cloud Foundry," said Ben Nye, CEO, VMTurbo. "VMTurbo's real-time application performance control enables advanced customers to focus on accelerating application delivery, rather than monitoring."
The latest release offers integration with Cloud Foundry, an open source PaaS, that enables IT teams to build self-service cloud environments on which developers can code directly. VMTurbo controls Cloud Foundry workloads, determining which workloads should be placed where and when, then executes upon those actions, enabling IT teams to deliver a PaaS implementation that assures performance at the best possible cost.
The release also further extends support for vSphere 6.0 with support for Cross vCenter Live Migration. It brings VMTurbo's intelligent workload management to migration planning, including disaster recovery (DR) scenarios or re-hosting to more modern infrastructure.
Other key benefits of VMTurbo 5.4 include:
  • Extension of support for EMC XtremIO and EMC VMAX through the Storage Control Module
  • Extension of support for Microsoft SQL Server Active Directory through the Application Control Module
  • Proactive support alerting our customer support team of potential VMTurbo instance performance issues before our customers even experience them
  • Improved user experience and user interface to enable better understanding of the health of the entire infrastructure
"Every VMTurbo release expands our capabilities to control any workload, on any infrastructure, anywhere, any time," said Shmuel Kliger, President and Founder of VMTurbo. "Our customers are the major driving factor behind our product innovation, and when they adopt new technologies we ensure we are meeting their needs. Our patented market abstraction enables partners and VMTurbo to quickly and straightforwardly integrate such technologies with our system, further extending control across the stack, into the cloud, and beyond."
