Ormuco selects MigSolv as its UK data centre partner

Ormuco has chosen MigSolv as its UK data centre partner. The partnership will allow Ormuco to deliver high quality, service based colocation services to the large enterprises.

Ormuco, an HP Helion Network charter member, offers a cloud services platform for service providers, ISVs and businesses around the globe. With nodes in Canada, U.S., EMEA and soon, LATAM and Japan, it is rapidly building a global network of cloud services to service both local data requirements as well as global, multinational companies.

Its heritage, as a licensed telecommunications service provider, combined with the unique ability to offer both private managed and virtual private cloud services with the facility to burst into public cloud in a single architecture, means Ormuco can address the demands for the highest service levels and security requirements during production and test/development workloads.

Enterprises are progressively choosing colocation services to cut down their in-house IT maintenance costs, ensure security, reliability and high bandwidth availability. Colocation facilities also give enterprises the space to maintain their data. There is a growing demand for data centres, and although significant investments have been made in data centre facilities over recent years, availability remains an issue. According to Nemertes Research, a shortage of colocation hosting space is set to grow to a $1.9 billion facilities gap by the end of 2015.

MigSolv’s Norwich based data centre is an ultra-secure and environmentally efficient facility that offers highly connected, outstanding quality, colocation services, with none of the risk that metropolitan based facilities incur.

Orlando Bayter, CEO of Ormuco, commented; “Ormuco selected MigSolv as their Norwich based data centre offers a high quality facility with the levels of resilience and redundancy that Ormuco requires. Collaboration in the IT world is the only way forward and means Ormuco can now offer service based colocation services as well as Connected Cloud services.”

Alex Rabbetts, CEO of MigSolv, said “We are delighted to welcome Ormuco and to provide our data centre facility to one of today’s leading cloud providers, where high quality and security is paramount. This contract, with an initial value of £7 million, underlines our Norwich facility as the alternative option for those customers seeking to minimise their risk when choosing a colocation partner.”
