Talend selected by Carrefour Banque.fr

Carrefour Banque, the European banking subsidiary of the Carrefour Group, is using Talend Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) for the real-time processing of data exchanges between its various information systems and to power its consumer account management services across multiple channels.

According to Bruno Bouisseau, head of website management for Carrefour-banque.fr, “As part of the modernisation of our website and underlying technical architecture, we were looking for a solution that was capable of optimising exchanges between different systems and revealing web services to different distribution channels such as our mobile applications. After evaluating a few different solutions on the market, we identified Talend ESB as meeting all of our requirements in terms of security, reliability, performance and customer-service quality.”

Talend ESB coordinates data exchanges that allow Carrefour bank customers to view their account information online at any time, as well as carry out transactions and purchases on a wide range of new financial products. Developments, as well as maintenance of the Talend ESB platform and any changes to it, are being supported by the Synaltic Group, a Talend partner. “Our strong expertise in Talend solutions is backed by a close working relationship with the company’s R&D department. This collaboration allows us to stay abreast of new features and, ultimately, offer customers like Carrefour powerful support to ensure the success of their projects,” said Robert Bounheng, president of the Synaltic Group.

Bouisseau explains, “The cooperation of a specialist like the Synaltic Group has enabled us to implement our projects under the best circumstances and to provide our 2.5 million customers with seamless access to our many services. Every month when bank statements are posted, we record significant peak loads, so fast response times and service reliability are critical. Talend ESB has exceeded our expectations in this regard.”

The website management teams for Carrefour-banque.fr are very satisfied with Talend ESB performance and are already planning to expand its functional scope to include other areas such as e-commerce.
