Schneider Electric StruxureWare for Data Centers wins DCIM category at DCS Awards 2015

Schneider Electric's StruxureWare for Data Centers software has won the DCS Award for ‘Datacentre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Product of the Year’.

Receiving the award on behalf of Schneider Electric,UK Enterprise Sales Director, Matthew Baynes said, “We are delighted that our StruxureWare for Data Centers sofware has won the DCIM award for the second year running. I’d like to thank the editorial judging panel for short listing us, as well as the many data centre professionals that have voted for StruxureWare for Data Centers.”

Developed by Schneider Electric, StruxureWare for Data Centers is an integrated DCIM suite which is comprised of comprehensive modules for data centre operations, control and management. Schneider Electric DCIM software applications enable businesses to prosper by managing their data centres across multiple domains.

“The market for DCIM is now evolving rapidly and already many companies are starting to benefit from the actionable intelligence which StruxureWare for Data Centers software provides, to enable an ideal balance of high availability and peak efficiency throughout the entire data centre life cycle,” Matthew Baynes added.

At the core of the software suite is StruxureWare Data Center Operation, the physical infrastructure management application. Unlike other DCIM platforms, it provides an integrated dashboard that facilitates vendor neutral inventory management. What’s more, this dashboard displays real-time device failures and data within the data centre physical infrastructure layout, as well as recommendations on how to resolve issues.

The ability to make such informed decisions from a “building-to-server” perspective can be multi-layered with the addition of optional modules created to meet specific user requirements, from Capacity and Change Management to Energy Cost, Energy Efficiency and IT Optimisation.

The suite enables comprehensive dashboards of live data centre operations, mobile operation for real-time tracking of equipment adds, moves and changes and on-the-go access via smart phones and tablet apps.
