Interoute opens Singapore PoP to meet growing customer demand

PoP gives Interoute’s customers added diversity in the Asia-Pacific region.

Interoute has extended the global reach of its network to Singapore. The new Point of Presence (PoP) will support Interoute’s enterprise customers with an additional location in the Asia-Pacific region. Interoute’s network, connects Europe, USA, the Middle East and Africa, extending to Hong Kong and now Singapore in the East.

Building on Interoute’s two existing PoPs in Hong Kong, the new site gives businesses expanding in Asia a connectivity, communications and computing hub in one of the world’s most important financial cites. Businesses can enjoy high capacity, local routing capability and global reach as part of Interoute’s networked cloud platform.

The wealthy city-state’s political climate, competitive corporate tax rates and openness to foreign investment mean that it is attracting growing interest from businesses worldwide. In fact, it was ranked as the number one best place in the world to do business in 2014 for the seventh consecutive year and also topped the World’s Bank’s ease of doing business report. Customers in Singapore can now connect directly to Interoute’s assured performance network, and access its portfolio of enterprise cloud computing, voice, video and data services.

Interoute’s Enterprise Unified ICT strategy is focused on creating and managing all Enterprise ICT Infrastructure as a Service, delivered from its advanced and secure networking and cloud platform. Interoute’s integrated network and data centre platform provides customers with the innovative, and cost effective ICT solutions needed to gain a competitive business advantage.

Mark Lewis, VP for Communications and Connectivity at Interoute, said: “Singapore is one of the world’s biggest financial hubs and a key business destination in the Asia-Pacific region.
