Mayflex to distribute Suprema biometrics

Mayflex, the cabling infrastructure, networking and electronic security solutions distributor has formed a distribution agreement with ENTERTECH SYSTEMS for Mayflex to provide Suprema biometrics for access control to the UK market. Suprema is the premier provider of next-generation IP access control and the global leader in biometric access control systems. ENTERTECH SYSTEMS is Suprema’s official operating partner in the United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

Mayflex will also offer BioConnect, an identity management platform from ENTERTECH SYSTEMS, which makes deployment and use of Suprema biometric readers simple, secure and scalable when integrated with leading access control systems. Instead of having badge records in two different systems (one for the access control panel and another for biometric templates), BioConnect seamlessly syncs users between these two systems. Customers can easily find and manage users, badge records and devices – all from one simple graphical user interface.

Gary Harmer, director of sales, electronic security at Mayflex comments, “We are delighted to be working with this new vendor partner. The introduction of Suprema and ENTERTECH SYSTEMS allows Mayflex to bring another vital piece to an IP security Installation. We already have a number of industry recognised access control solutions in our product portfolio; however with the addition of biometrics we are meeting the demands of those installations that require that additional level of security, such as Data Centres, cash handling offices, or environments where sensitive records such as HR information is kept.”

Harmer continues, “The BioConnect identity management platform currently integrates with Paxton access control which is already an established brand for us. This new partnership strengthens our ability to deliver scalable, value for money complete biometric solutions on a single platform which remains a key driver to delivering a return on investment in today's market.”

“We are pleased to be working with Mayflex to deliver Suprema biometric access control solutions and the BioConnect identity management platform in the UK. This will enable our technologies to be seamlessly added to building structured cabling projects,” comments Rob Douglas, CEO of ENTERTECH SYSTEMS. “Mayflex is a strategic new partner because they have very strong knowledge and experience in the distribution of Converged IP Solutions and bring together best in class infrastructure, networking and electronic security solutions to create a compatible, feature rich, value for money offering to meet the demanding needs of business types.”
