Silver Peak has announced the addition of John Vincenzo as the company’s new senior vice president and chief marketing officer (CMO). John comes to Silver Peak at an extremely exciting time, as the company continues to grow its existing business and accelerate the expansion into the budding SD-WAN industry.

Leveraging his extensive marketing and enterprise networking experience, Vincenzo will lead Silver Peak’s global marketing efforts, including the expansion into the emerging SD-WAN and service provider markets, and position Silver Peak as an innovator and thought leader in the networking industry.

“We are thrilled to have someone with John’s enterprise networking marketing experience and track record of success in both emerging and established markets join our all-star executive team,” said David Hughes, CEO of Silver Peak. “As CMO, John will help ensure our story is heard and Silver Peak is recognised for the incredible value we deliver to customers as we transform their wide-area networks, improve their business responsiveness and dramatically reduce their costs.”

Prior to Silver Peak, Vincenzo was vice president of marketing for Embrane, where he was responsible for the global promotion, positioning and overall marketing of the company’s application-centric network services and virtual appliance lifecycle management solutions. In addition, Vincenzo was vice president of global marketing at 3Com Corporation, where he oversaw the highly successful public launch of the data centre-to-edge enhanced enterprise-networking portfolio, and was a key member of the leadership team that helped 3Com increase its position, market share and awareness in the enterprise networking industry.

“I believe Silver Peak is one of the best kept secrets in the networking industry and that is going to change,” added Vincenzo. “Silver Peak has led this market’s movement from hardware-centric to virtual solutions and we are continuing that momentum into the emerging SD-WAN space. We have an unrivalled breadth of hybrid WAN solutions and I’m excited about the opportunity to help our existing and future customers and partners benefit from the significant flexibility, visibility and cost-savings the new WAN delivers.”
