UNIT4 continues its cloud commitment with recertification

Global business software provider recertifies against CIF Code of Practice.

UNIT4, provider of people-centred enterprise software for services organisations, has successfully recertified against the CIF Code of Practice APM Group, the Cloud Industry Forum’s (CIF) independent certification partner, has announced.

Headquartered in the Netherlands and with operations in 26 countries, UNIT4 is a global business software company that brings to market cloud ERP and business applications designed to meet specific vertical market requirements helping customers embrace change simply, quickly and cost effectively. Through its solutions, its customers change and innovate at higher speed and lower cost.

Since becoming one of the first organisations to successfully certify against the CIF Code of Practice back in 2011, UNIT4 has continued to show its commitment to upholding cloud standards, renewing another three times in a row.

Helen Sutton, UK & Ireland Managing Director for UNIT4, commented: “Since our first certification against the CIF Code of Practice we have seen demand for Cloud solutions and capabilities increase significantly. Today we find ourselves in the midst of a digital revolution with Cloud computing a business reality. Cloud offers choice when it comes to the deployment options across all business applications and quantifiable financial and operational benefits to organisations in all industries and sectors. There are of course a number of concerns about hosting vital company data in the Cloud; security, data access and ownership to name a few and these concerns will continue to need to be addressed by vendors like UNIT4. We are committed to achieving the highest possible standards as a Cloud Service Provider and as such we view CoP certification as a crucial indication of our ability to continue to meet industry standards and achieve best practice across our Cloud proposition.”

Richard Pharro, CEO of APM Group, added: “The Code of Practice continues to demonstrate and help set the standards that all CSPs must have in order to be seen as a reliable provider. Businesses are seeing the benefits of certification for both themselves and their customers, and UNIT4 is no exception. As one of the first organisations to be certified, UNIT4 has always shown its dedication to help regulate and protect the Cloud and we are pleased to see that the Group has been recertified once again.”
