Logfiller App for Splunk® Enterprise provides complete user experience data

Logfiller Inc. has announced the Logfiller App for Splunk® Enterprise, which can run on Splunk® Enterprise and Splunk Cloud, to empower customers to reduce IT costs by identifying system underperformance and other anomalies. The Logfiller App for Splunk Enterprise helps Splunk customers track and collect meaningful information about aspects of their users’ desktop experience, allowing an enterprise to see precisely areas of needed improvement in productivity, system performance and employee satisfaction. See for yourself at http://apps.splunk.com/app/1800 or go to www.logfiller.com and download the app.

Logfiller’s patent pending technology provides organizations with end user data capturing many aspects of interactions – including details about website and app access, system response times, log-on delays, application wait time, the use of internal tools such as intranets and other data. Splunk software’s rich variety of dashboards presents the Logfiller data as real time, actionable information, enabling immediate changes that can save a typical, large, multi-desk enterprise a sizeable amount of money. For example, if an average employee uses their system four hours per day on a thousand user system, of which 10% is lost to delays waiting for the system to respond, Logfiller can enable substantial savings by identifying exactly when and how long productivity was suspended or delayed; a wait time reduction of 50% potentially can translate may exceed $2.2m per year.

“System and application under performance is not OK with Users, much less so for enterprises in a competitive global economy,” says David McHattie, tech entrepreneur and Logfiller’s CEO. “Basic operational inefficiencies have a significant impact on the bottom line, and now for the first time, the real User Experience can be qualified, quantified and improved.”

“Logfiller’s data captures the actual user experience, not a conventional approximation or derived estimate,” says CTO, Jeremy Barker, Logfiller. “Every CXO wants proof that the company is getting the IT performance it is paying for, but you can’t fix what you can’t see. If system performance is even slightly subpar”, says Barker, “Logfiller will find it.”

“The Logfiller App for Splunk Enterprise is an exciting addition to the Splunk platform because this is valuable user experience data,” said Colin Savage, vice president of business development, Splunk. “The app also helps to add a quantified user experience dimension to the insights gleaned from other machine data across the enterprise, which ultimately delivers a greater level of operational intelligence across organizations.”
