iLEVEL opens European data centre for the private equity industry

Dedicated private cloud will service a growing European market for iLEVEL, where clients prioritise local data storage.

iLEVEL, the cloud-based software provider to the private capital market, has opened a European data centre in the United Kingdom. The iLEVEL Private Capital Data Platform is built to streamline data collection across a portfolio into a central repository, enabling fund managers and institutional investors to track investment performance with real-time, standardised reporting.

The new European data centre opens on the heels of a surge of new clients and feedback from existing clients. Year to date, iLEVEL has tripled the amount of clients that it services in the EMEA market and these clients emphasised the need for European-domiciled hosting. iLEVEL’s London based staff has doubled in 2014 and includes sales, implementation and client service capabilities.

“The iLEVEL platform has allowed us to streamline our portfolio analysis capabilities and track our portfolios more efficiently,” said Mats Eklund, CFO of Triton. “Triton is a European based private equity fund that invests in European companies. It is imperative to us that our data stay in the Europe.”

“iLEVEL has made a strong commitment to the EMEA market and continues to invest in infrastructure and staff to support that commitment. This European Data centre shows how strongly iLEVEL prioritises client feedback and strives to address client concerns,” said Melissa Ferraz, Vice President of EMEA Sales for iLEVEL. “This has been a year of rapid growth for iLEVEL in EMEA and we are excited about the continued momentum. Three of the top 7 European-based private equity firms track their portfolios on iLEVEL and we expect our client numbers to continue to grow.”

The data centre is a significant infrastructure investment and houses iLEVEL’s private cloud in the Europe. iLEVEL’s cloud is hosted and managed by Rackspace, the market-leading managed cloud company. The private cloud is built on infrastructure solely dedicated to iLEVEL.

The number of firms on iLEVEL has doubled in the past year and includes alternative investment firms of varying sizes that employ a wide range of investment strategies including Real Estate, Credit and Venture Capital. Leading LPs and Funds of Funds are also adopting iLEVEL. 4,000 iLEVEL users span the globe, tracking over 700 million data points across 7,000 portfolio companies.
