Software AG named Red Hat Advanced ISV Partner

Software AG, a global leader in business process optimization, has been named a Red Hat Advanced ISV Partner for Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The collaboration expands the already extensive co-operation between the companies for both software development and support activities to enhance the overall experience for joint customers.

As enterprises everywhere face increasing pressure to reduce costs, manage shrinking IT budgets and upgrade aging legacy systems, open standards-based alternatives to proprietary technologies grow ever important. Under the expanded relationship, Software AG can take advantage of this demand for open source technologies while providing optimal integration and performance of its solutions with Red Hat offerings, including the industry-leading Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Software AG already uses Red Hat Enterprise Linux for software development, providing compatibility for Software AG solutions that are based on a Linux platform.
Through the advanced ISV partner program, Software AG will also have access to Red Hat’s technical resources, enabling the company to efficiently coordinate its own solutions with Red Hat Enterprise Linux specifically for x86 servers and the IBM System z mainframe. This coordination greatly simplifies and accelerates version upgrades as well as the development of new product releases and provides Software AG customers with a much higher degree of application performance and availability while lowering the total cost of ownership.
