See BC first hand

The upcoming Business Continuity Awareness Week will see Phoenix open the doors on its BC Centres around the country, so users can learn just what is involved

For anyone that has ever wondered just what is involved in providing business continuity, and what the benefits are, the upcoming Business Continuity Awareness Week is likely to be a good time to find out.

One way will be to take up the offer being made by Phoenix to visit one of the company’s Business Continuity Centres between March 17thand March 21st, and having a nose round.

The company is throwing open its doors of the its ISO 22301 Business Continuity Centres to businesses of all sizes, though following the recent launch of its Re:Cover service targeting the business continuity needs of small to medium sized businesses, it is rather hoping a good few SMBs will make the journey. There is even a promotional offer to take advantage of – a year’s free business continuity cover.

Mike Osborne, managing director of Phoenix’s Business Continuity Unit and a keen advocate of BCAW observed that in light of the recent flooding and storms around the UK, there has never been a more critical time to address concerns surrounding business continuity.

“Everyone appreciates the importance of awareness – within our own organisation, along our supply chains and throughout our economy – there’s simply no downside in sharing information, advice and encouragement to help businesses to embrace and further their resiliency, whatever stage they’re at or challenges they face,” he said.

“At Phoenix, we pride ourselves on having the widest business continuity infrastructure throughout the UK, and as a business we’ve always striven to encourage more forward-thinking approaches to achieving business continuity. During BCAW, visitors to our centres can find out what services are available, discuss their current BC dilemmas with leading BC experts and discover how they can align their recovery strategies with the advances they have already seen across their IT infrastructures, particularly with the adoption of approaches such as virtualisation, Cloud computing and BYOD.”
