UKFast joins GCloud

Hosting and cloud firm UKFast has been chosen to become part of the government's G-Cloud iii framework.

GCloud iii is the latest phase of the GCloud programme that aims to diversify government supplier lists by easing the way for SMEs to pitch for tenders.

UKFast has been selected as a supplier of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) highlighting the firm's position as a leading provider of IT services in the UK.

Lawrence Jones, CEO at the hosting and colocation firm said: "The G-Cloud programme has opened the doors for smaller firms to provide services for the public sector bringing much needed and overdue competition to this market.

"To be selected as part of the programme is a tremendous achievement for UKFast which cements our position as one of the top IT, hosting and cloud providers in the country."

G-Cloud has received massive investment from the government in recent years and is expected to become the primary public sector framework going forward.
