Interoute Virtual Data Centre selected as G-Cloud iii provider

Interoute says that its award winning Interoute Virtual Data Centre (VDC) has been selected to be part of G-Cloud iii, reinforcing Interoute’s credential as a government Cloud provider. The Interoute VDC Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform delivers highly scalable public and private cloud computing and networking from Interoute’s data centres in London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Geneva and Paris.

Matthew Finnie, CTO of Interoute, commented: “Interoute and more recently the Interoute Virtual Data Centre have a long history of providing ICT services to the European government and science community. Our ability to combine networking with computing, gives customers 100% UK data residency assurance, combined with complete control through real time automation. New customers have the option to trial the service for free, giving them the opportunity to see the performance advantage this innovative service delivers, before making any commitment to buy. We have been on board with the G-Cloud procurement revolution since the start so are excited to continue our participation especially as we now move to IL2 and IL3 accreditation”.
Interoute Virtual Data Centre is built into the fabric of Interoute’s pan-European network, enabling organisations to deploy virtual computing and storage infrastructure for their enterprise applications in a matter of minutes. The service brings simplicity and security to the cloud to ensure that, instead of having to choose between the convenience and flexibility of the public cloud or the security of a private cloud, public sector organisations can have both.
