The legal work around the relocation was carried out by law firm Shulmans LLP, based in Leeds.
Concorde IT, one of the UK's leading IT support and managed service providers with over 100 staff in offices throughout the UK, has moved from rented premises on Texas Street in Morley, Leeds to Concorde House in Osset, just a few minutes off Junction 40 of the M1. The new building is 25,000 sq ft, and offers more warehousing and workshop space, modern air conditioned offices for the 50 employees based there, and space to build a new state-of-the-art data centre. The data centre forms a vital part of the company’s future growth plans, and will help the company to offer its own Cloud Services under the brand of FLEXCloud.
Simon Jackson, head of Commercial Property at Shulmans LLP, oversaw the legal aspects of the move and purchase. He said: “To allow Concorde IT to fulfil its growth plans by having its own data centre, it needed to buy premises rather than rent. There was a need for us as lead advisors to understand the timing pressures and be flexible and commercially aware so that the all the legal demands were met, facilitating a smooth move for Concorde.”
Neil Roberts, Managing Director at Concorde IT Group, said: “I have never been involved in a commercial property purchase before and Shulmans were superb in guiding me through the process and explaining the different steps that had to be taken in order to ensure a smooth conclusion to the deal. Their help and advice was absolutely essential, I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.”
