Cloud computing adoption is not universally driven by the need to reduce IT costs, and neither is it causing a widespread reduction in the size of IT teams, according to research released by Six Degrees Group (“6DG”), the converged technology infrastructure provider.

According to the IDC WW Quarterly Cloud Infrastructure Tracker, IT infrastructure spending (server, disk storage, and Ethernet switch) for public and private cloud in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) grew by 17.6% year on year to $1.3 billion in 1Q16.
